A Still Life oil painting on a panel of some apples with Gooseberries
A fresh Cox’s which I find firm, crispy and sweet happen to be along with a good Egremont Russet my favourite.
In this painting I’m not sure which variety of this one is from, or the variety of the Gooseberries for I inherited the tree and the bush they were picked from along with the house sometime ago.
At the time my home studio overlooked the vegetable garden and I was self sufficient with vegetables.
Alas I’ve given up growing vegetables for I spent more time in the veg patch than I did painting and made a decision to lawn it over.
