‘Winter’

Painting on a bone china plaque of a Red Deer standing by a tree in the snow in the middle of winter.

Bone China Plaque 9″ Diameter NFS

Painted with on glaze metal oxides and fired numerous times into the glaze, during my time at Coalport China, part of the world famous Wedgwood Group, where I trained to paint as a Ceramic Artist in the Prestige Department.
Without doubt the most difficult medium I have used, the unique thing about painting on china is that it is totally permanent unless the piece of china is smashed in some way.
